Preface:
There'sawindowthathasbeenetchedinmymindeversinceIwasachild.Itwasthewindowofmyoldhouse,whereIspentmostofmychildhood.Thatwindow,withitsfadedwhitepaintandcrackedglass,becameasymbolofmemoriesandlovetome.Itwasawitnesstoallthemomentsthatshapedmeasaperson.Inthisstory,Iwillsharewithyouthesignificanceofthatwindowinmylife,andhowitcontinuestoliveoninmyheart.
1.AsIstandheretoday,gazingattheviewbeforeme,I'mremindedofthatoldwindowthatoncestoodinmychildhoodhome.
2.Thatwindowwasnotjustapieceofarchitecture;itwasaportaltotheoutsideworld,asourceoflightandhopeinthedarkestofdays.
3.Irememberhow,asachild,Iusedtositbythatwindowforhours,watchingtheworldgoby,imaginingmyselfaspartofthescenesoutside.
4.ItwasthroughthatwindowthatIfirstdiscoveredthebeautyofnature,thewonderofseasons,andthejoyofsimplethingsinlife.
5.ButitwasalsothroughthatwindowthatIwitnessedthepainofloss,thefearofchange,andtheuncertaintyoflife.
6.Whenmyparentsdecidedtosellouroldhouseandmovetoanewcity,Iwasheartbroken.
7.Itfeltlikeapieceofmewasbeingleftbehind,likeachapterinmylifewascomingtoanend.
8.ButasIpackedmybagsandsaidgoodbyetothatoldwindow,Iknewdeepdownthatitwouldalwaysbeapartofme,nomatterwhereIwent.
9.Andso,aswedroveawayfromouroldhouse,Ikeptstaringatthatwindow,hopingtoetchitsimageinmymindforever.
10.Overtheyears,Ihavelivedindifferentplaces,metnewpeople,andhadvariousexperiences,butthatwindowremainedaconstantinmylife.
11.WheneverIfacedachallengeorfeltlost,Iwouldclosemyeyesandimaginemyselfsittingbythatwindow,watchingtheworldgoby.
12.Itwasmysanctuary,myrefuge,mysourceofcomfortandstrength.
13.Andthen,oneday,ImetsomeonewhosharedthesameloveforthatwindowasIdid.
14.HisnamewasJack,andhewasapainterwhohadcometoourcitytocaptureitsbeautyoncanvas.
15.WhenIsawhispaintingsofthatoldhousewithitsfadedwhitepaintandcrackedglass,Iknewwehadaconnection.
16.Wetalkedaboutthatwindowforhours,reminiscingaboutourchildhoodmemories,andsharingstoriesofhowithadshapedusintowhowearetoday.
17.Asourfriendshipgrewintolove,wedecidedtovisitouroldhousetogether.
18.Whenwearrived,weweresurprisedtofindthatthehousehadbeenrenovated,andtheoldwindowreplacedwithanewone.
19.Butaswestoodinfrontofit,holdinghands,weknewthatitdidn'tmatter.
20.Thatwindowwouldalwaysbethere,inourhearts,inourmemories,inourloveforeachother.
